design and implement differentiated programs and policies that effectively reach this target audience.<\/p><p>Latin American countries have made progress in the design and adoption of instruments for the conceptualization, characterization, classification and registration of family farming, taking into account national specificities, as a way of constructing and adapting their policies and, Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay have these registries in operation, and other countries such as Panama, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic are working on their
